copy protected WAV files

Postby Marko » Mon Nov 28, 2005 4:23 am

ok so I've gotten a few new cd's which I tried to rip into mp3's for my ipod using itunes. Apparently itunes cannot convert the files because they are copy protected WAV files. Does anyone know if it is possible to get around this due to the fact I own the original cd's and therefor have a right to converting my files?!

nope.

This is going to be done with every CD in time. Of course there will be different ways to get around it in time, but as far as I know I haven't seen anyone say a way to get around that.

I was actually having the same problem with DVD's. Alot of them are protected and hard to get past the encryption. I did find a VERY easy to use program called apollo dvd burner or something like that. There is no difficult things to figure out or programs to decrypt things. All you have to do is put the dvd in your drive it copies to your hard drive for you and decrypts it then burns it.

actually no, cheetah doesnt. i think i have run into that once before. on a side note tho, my buddy here at work said that I think it was sony music who did that without telling anyone and they got sued by some guy at Computer Assosiates. But that they are not supposed to be doing that and are going to re-release the album(s) they did it to.
